In this course, students will learn the endless expressive possibilities of traditional wool rug hooking— a utilitarian craft-turned-art form with a long history. In this online course, participants will learn the principles of creating their own design, pattern making, colour planning, sourcing materials, and rug display. Students will learn how to incorporate elements and principles of design into their projects, and find inspiration in everything from colouring books and geometry, to nature. All basic materials, tools, and demonstration are provided for an introduction to the craft.
